What makes our luxury floral wedding stationery so different?

So you’ve dreamed of the most perfect floral wedding invitations, designed with flowers picked and pressed in the English countryside, using the finest of materials and the most luxury print methods. Well, you are in the right place.

I’m Gina, designer and stationer, creating luxurious wedding stationery at my stationery and flower pressing studio, Gable & Grain. I have been a designer professionally for nearly 10 years, where following university, I started out working in house for a number of high end brands including Harrods, The White Company and Plum & Ashby. Throughout these roles, I created magazines, retail signage and, of course, stationery using only the best materials available to reflect their premium brands.

Now you have a little of my back story, you’ll understand why I’m so keen on creating the most special save the dates, invitations and wedding day stationery that you’ll ever lay your eyes on. It’s your wedding day after all!

So here is how I’ll make your wedding stationery a little out of the ordinary…

Authentic foil blocked wording
Each piece of stationery is printed by me using my very own state-of-the-art hot foil press. Each design is made into a metal plate, which is individually stamped onto the paper with foil, leaving a beautifully authentic (and shiny!) indentation in the paper. This is an age-old craft dating back to the 19th century and requires a high level of attention to detail and a shed load of trial and error to perfect.

The art of flower pressing
I design floral stationery collections quite literally from garden to paper. I pick flowers from my very own garden and local flower farm, which I then press for a number of weeks to use within the designs of my stationery. These are then printed onto luxuriously thick paper and paired with shiny foil blocked wording. Using two print methods is what really sets my designs apart and I’m so proud to be able to offer this as standard.

The finest materials
Extra thick uncoated paper (often around ten times the thickness of standard printer paper!), hand-dyed silk ribbons, the shiniest foils and luxury coloured envelopes to name a few; only the highest quality materials are selected to create your wedding stationery. I never compromise on this.

Garden studio production
Each piece of stationery and signage is designed, foil-blocked and assembled by me, to ensure it’s all perfect for your wedding day. For anything I need to outsource, I have a carefully handpicked selection of suppliers that I trust entirely. The parcels of stationery you’ll receive are beautifully (and safely!) packaged ready to be delivered to your doorstep, wherever you may be in the world. My garden studio is based at my home in the English countryside, but I happily ship all over the world.

Typesetting
One for any typography-nerds out there. Every single word will be typeset. Every. Single. Word. A skill that requires a hefty amount of patience!

Carefully crafted little details
I truly care about making your wedding stationery personal to you, with beautiful little touches that will really wow you and your guests. Whether it be with a nod to where you first met, an illustration of your venue, or colours to match your wedding day flowers, it’s these details that will really set your stationery apart to create a heirloom suite you’ll treasure forever.

A thoughtful service
I wish to make wedding stationery one of your favourite parts of your wedding planning. So, expect everything from personalised quotation packs, to carefully crafted stationery, to beautifully packaged parcels, to friendly on hand wedding advice.
