Introducing: The Edith Collection

Edith. A delicate and whimsical wedding stationery collection using muted tones of purple and pale pink hues, within a delicate wreath of printed pressed flowers.

The collection is named after Edith Vere Dent, a botanist and wild flower enthusiast who is most remembered as the founder of the UK Wild Flower Society. She also worked with the Red Cross and her work in the first world war was recognised with an OBE.

The flowers used within this stationery design were either pressed by me, or hand-picked from pressed flower artists. I carefully scan them in digitally which I then use to design various layouts until I settle on a design that I love. The same flowers and design elements are used throughout the whole collection, from the save the dates to the invitations, and then onto the on the day stationery. The aim is to create a beautifully cohesive wedding day for your guests, from your initial save the date right through to your big day itself.

Edith is one of my pressed flower stationery collections where printed pressed flowers appear alongside beautifully tactile gold foil blocked wording. After the flowers are printed onto the paper, I print each piece of stationery, one by one, using my very own hot foil press. A metal plate is attached to the machine and with the perfect amount of heat, pressure and dwell time, I physically stamp the design into the paper leaving a beautiful and shiny indentation. This combination of printed flowers and foil blocked lettering makes what I do just that little bit different and rather luxury! The aim is to wow your guests right from the get go.

Within the collection there are a number of different card options to create your very own suite. A save the date card marks the beginning of your wedding stationery journey, which is followed by the main invitation card a few months later (plus an evening invitation if you’re having another batch of guests arrive for the wedding reception). An additional details card can be added to include all of the extra information to make you and your guest’s lives that little bit easier (timings, accommodation, transport, gifts, you name it!). You can also have a map card which helps with directions, whilst also doubling up as a pretty keepsake for after the wedding. An RSVP card with a deep purple envelope makes for a lovely addition for you to receive back the all important yes’s and no’s. This was one of my favourite parts of wedding planning, seeing them come through our letterbox every day! Following on from this is a whole host of on the day stationery. From placecards and menus, to big table plans and welcome signs, and even thank you cards for after the wedding day.

This is the beauty of wedding stationery – nearly all my couples choices of individual elements of stationery are unique to each other, meaning each suite of stationery ends up being individual to them and their wedding day. There are also a number of embellishments to add that really make them that extra bit special!

What’s more, if you have fallen in love with this stationery design but the colours aren’t quite right for your day, you could always opt for a Bespoke Flower Scheme. With this add on, I will design the flowers and colours from any images, Pinterest boards, bridesmaid dresses, etc, especially for you and to set the tone of your day perfectly.

So, if you like the look of Edith and would like her to introduce your wedding to your guests, see the links below to view the full collection, or to request a personalised quote pack.
