Bespoke Wedding Stationery for The Valley Estate, Australia
A celebration of place, thoughtfully woven into every detail. Olive sprigs, soft neutrals and meaningful illustrations came together to create this bespoke wedding stationery collection for Amy & Sterling’s wedding at The Valley Estate in Currumbin Waters, Australia.
The journey began with a save the date featuring an illustration of the reception venue, setting the tone for a stationery collection inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. A palette of warm ivory, soft sage and olive green reflected the couple’s vision for an elegant yet relaxed celebration, while delicate olive motifs appeared throughout the suite as a subtle nod to their wedding aesthetic.
The olive motifs were created from real olive sprigs that I pressed in my garden studio before digitally refining and arranging them into a bespoke pattern. These hand-pressed botanical details were then woven throughout the collection, appearing on envelope liners, wax seals and supporting stationery pieces, to create a beautifully cohesive suite of wedding stationery.
The invitation suite was designed as an experience to unfold. Guests opened a silk ribbon-tied folded pocket to discover a custom illustrated map of the venue, featuring landmarks including the chapel, manor and winding waterways that make The Valley Estate so distinctive. The map not only guided guests through the day but also provided a keepsake of the place where their story would continue.
One of my favourite parts of this project was developing the artwork from initial pencil sketches and venue photography through to the finished printed suite. Seeing those first ideas evolve into a cohesive collection is always one of the most rewarding parts of the bespoke design process.
The aim was to capture the romance of a garden estate wedding with thoughtful details designed to be treasured long after the day itself and I think we did just that.
